Nogués and Cárdenas will be with Spain in the World Cup qualifying window

Forward Isaac Nogués and point guard Álvaro Cárdenas, on loan at Peristeri, will be part of the 16-player squad selected by Chus Mateo for the World Cup qualifiers on February 23 and March 2. Spain will face Ukraine in a doubleheader.
- Friday, February 27: Ukraine vs. Spain in Riga (2:00 p.m.)
- Monday, March 2: Spain vs. Ukraine in Oviedo (8:30 p.m.)
Spain is in Group A alongside Ukraine, Denmark, and Georgia, in one of eight groups of four teams. From each group, three teams will advance to a second phase, where they will face three other teams from another group. At the end of that second group, the top three teams will qualify for the World Cup.
